Winter Springs , Tuskawilla came to be when a New York merchant, Moses Levy, made a fortune in lumbering and trade with the Spanish.  The holdings from Spanish land grants included the land, later named Winter Springs.  Fewer than 600 people were residents of the area when it was incorporated aa North Orlando in 1959.  Now, Winter Springs is home to over 33,000 people, and has the largest area of Seminole County's seven cities.
 
 
Today, Winter Springs is experiencing phenominal growth, and is drawing many businesses and residents to the area.  The Winter Springs Town Centre was designed to be an elegant, up- scale downtown center.  Phase 1 included fountains, benches and squares, such as the local landmark, Magnolia Square" fountain and plaza.  The city is also home to a major distribution center for the United States Post Office.
 
 
Winter Springs is home to the Subdivision of Tuskawilla, which contains many smaller subdivisions. 
Lovely communities with stunning entrances along Tuskawilla Raod would delight even the most discriminating home buyer.  Winter Springs is also home to Central Winds Park, a mega sports complex.  Amenities in this park even include a large fenced in area for your canine companions to run sans leash and play with other dogs.
